Welcome to the site of the West Sound Disc Golf Association’s 2012 West Sound Challenge!

The West Sound Challenge has been designed to provide a full season of one day disc golf tournaments, taking place at many of the wonderful courses we have here on the Kitsap Peninsula.

There is a clear emphasis on value for this season.  Any way you chose to play - whether for one or two events only, most, or all of them - the value is unbeatable.  With WSDGA membership, the season pass offer is an amazing value not to be passed up!

  Each event is expected to be one round of disc golf with the exception of the final event. Click on each event listing to learn more about the individual tournament event.

  Fun For All

This season of events does gives opportunity to be as competitive as you want, but at the same time there is ample room for fun at all levels.  For those who play multiple events, data will be kept, and awards given for a variety of skill level divisions.   We want to see new and improving players join in the fun.  This is a great way to taste what an organized disc golf event can be like. We are striving to provide a friendly and intimidation-free environment.

Prizes and Awards

  Each event will likely contain many similar features, including great door prizes by random draw, as well as a “bounty” for best score of the day at a $50 or greater value.   A hole-in-one prize, or “Ace Prize”, continues to be a feature this season as provided without separate cost and is provided by event sponsor.  This year is also going to see five custom color dyed West Sound Challenge discs into each event door prize pool, again dyed and donated by the folks at HyzerFarm. 

  Season based trophies for several skill divisions and other awards will be awarded at the West Sound Championships event.  This final event will have its own special event trophies as well.  Some of these awards will be based on overall scoring, but may also have some based on a performance rating basis (handicapped).
